This print is dedicated to San Francisco, the home of the Golden Gate Bridge.

San Francisco, in northern California, is a hilly city on the tip of a peninsula surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. It is known for its year-round fog, iconic Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars and colourful Victorian houses. The Financial District's Transamerica Pyramid is its most distinctive skyscraper. In the Bay sits Alcatraz Island, site of the notorious former prison.

Although the Financial District, Union Square, and Fisherman's Wharf are well-known around the world, San Francisco is also characterised by its many culturally rich streetscapes featuring mixed-use neighbourhoods anchored around central commercial corridors to which residents and visitors alike can walk. Because of these characteristics, San Francisco is ranked the second "most walkable" city in the United States.

Many neighbourhoods feature a mix of businesses, restaurants and venues that cater to both the daily needs of residents while also serving many visitors and tourists. Some neighbourhoods are dotted with boutiques, cafés and nightlife such as Union Street in Cow Hollow, 24th Street in Noe Valley, Valencia Street in the Mission, Grant Avenue in North Beach, and Irving Street in the Inner Sunset.

This approach especially has influenced the continuing South of Market neighbourhood redevelopment with businesses and neighbourhood services rising alongside high-rise residences.
